Elementary R&D consists of a team of Curriculum Developers, Editors, and Graphic Designers under the supervision of a Project Manager and R&D Vice Director. Through a coordinated effort, they produce new and innovative materials and programs to be used in the classrooms, at home, and on the Internet. R&D is also responsible for evaluating and monitoring the academic levels of students at each POLY campus through tests and data analysis. Academic standards are raised even further by R&D through the curriculum training it provides for every new arriving POLY teacher.
Requirements
Curriculum Developers:
• B.Ed./BA or higher in education or related field
• Minimum of 1 year teaching experience (Grades Preschool~8)
• Experience producing or publishing educational material is preferred
Editors:
• BA or higher in English, publishing, or related field
• Minimum of 1 year copyediting experience
• Experience editing and publishing educational material is preferred
• Above-average knowledge of MS Word/Excel is required/Quark experience is a plus
